Advantech provides Ethernet switches and media converters with a variety of features, from Fast Ethernet or Gigabit, to copper or fiber optic, as well as Power over Ethernet. Advantech's serial device servers support wired and wireless networking and are available in wired and wireless (WLAN, GPRS, 3G), modbus gateway and programmable device server. Advantech also provides serial communications cards designed for field services that utilize RS-232/422/485 serial communication protocol. Lastly, Advantech offers a line of serial media converters and repeaters that provide conversion between serial networks and other media. They can transparently convert RS-232 signals to RS-422/485 signals, as well as wireless and fiber optic signals.
