Barcode Products

Barcodes are machine-readable representations of data, consisting of a series of vertical bars that are variable in width. Barcodes can be linear/1D (1 dimensional) or 2D (2 dimensional) and are the most common type of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technology used today.  Virtually all products found in stores are now labeled with Universal Product Codes (UPCs), which were not even invented until 1973.  The very first barcode scanner was finally installed in a supermarket in 1974.  L-Tron Corporation was founded during these early years of barcode technology and has evolved over the decades to remain an industry leader in AIDC solutions.
