Many Industrial Data Acquisition and Monitoring and Control systems obtain the process and measurement data from devices that connect to the computer over serial interfaces.  This section offers a variety of plug-in modules that provide RS-232, RS-422 and S-485 connections.  PCI cards are available that provide from one to eight channels.
