IKEY’s
rugged DW-5K introduces an innovative new dimension to the functionality of
industrial peripherals. Incorporating Wireless USB technology for up to a
30-foot RF range, the DW-5K will even communicate with a pc inside a metal
enclosure. Standard features include an integrated, 3-button Hula Point II
pointing device, 24 function keys and a 10-key numeric pad. In addition, the
DW-5K’s sealed, silicone keypad and robust ABS polycarbonate case ensure NEMA 4X
protection from dust, water and corrosive liquids.
Because
the DW-5K uses radio frequency signals, it is not susceptible to the line of
sight issues associated with infrared keyboards. It utilizes a USB dongle for
plug and play ease, including automatic keyboard detection by the host computer.
In addition, the DW-5K comes with a manual binding feature that locks in the
keyboard’s signal, providing keystroke security, the ability to operate multiple
wireless keyboards within the same environment, and a barrier from interference
with other wireless devices.
