Answer: Hi Jim. First off, it’s great that you’ve chosen to use barcode systems to manage your inventory effectively. You may find yourself actually saving a bundle of time and money in the end. In reference to your question, yes. Each barcode, no matter what its type or style, includes a unique start and stop character. When your scanner encounters one of those characters, it will tell your scanner which direction to read the barcode in. From there, your scanner will properly read the symbol and transfer the necessary information. Hope this helps!
