Touring the Advantech Online Library

If you’re like me, you never met a catalog you didn’t like. Indeed, far more catalogs spend the night on my bedside table than do novels, and now that so much of my daily reading is done on a tablet, Advantech Computing Product GuideI’ve downloaded multiple catalog PDFs into that device as well. So, it’s no surprise that I’m a big fan of Advantech’s growing collection of product catalogs, brochures and magazines designed especially for those of us in the industrial computing arena.

Advantech’s online catalogs are arranged into seven classifications:

  • product-line overviews
  • embedded-core services
  • applied computing and embedded systems
  • digital hardware
  • design and manufacturing/networks and telecom
  • digital storage and self-service
  • industrial automation (my favorite)

By my last count, there were 90 publications in all. Each entry can be accessed online or downloaded and saved in PDF, and for those who prefer print, hard copies are available as well.

The granddaddy of Advantech’s catalogs is its 184-page Product Selection Guide 2012-2013 (here), which covers embedded computing, embedded systems and intelligent platforms, automation devices and computing, and vertical solutions and applied computing. Along with details on the full range of industrial-grade components and systems offered by Advantech, this catalog also provides overviews of a variety of unique services, such as its embedded computing and industrial cloud products.

For times when a more condensed overview is preferred, Advantech’s 17-page 2012 Automation Devices and Computing Star Product Guide (here) serves as a convenient reference, highlighting Industrial HMI and communication tools, embedded systems and intelligent platforms, embedded IPCs, embedded automation computers, and more.

Access to the complete Advantech library is available at http://www.advantech.com/catalogs . Perhaps we’ll bump into each other there.
