Zebra Announces the Newly Enhanced HC100 Wristband Printer

Zebra Technologies’ Legacy HC100 wristband printer set the standard for ease of use, while producing readable, long-lasting barcodes and text at print speeds of up to 2 inches (51 mm) per second. The newly enhanced HC100 printer doubles that maximum output to up to 4 inches (102 mm) per second, while retaining the accuracy, ease of use and print quality that have made the HC100 line so popular among hospitals and clinics as well as amusement and water parks, resorts, carnivals, concerts, sporting events and zoos.

HC100 printers require minimal training. Wristband media is installed in the HC100 in easy-to-load cartridges containing the appropriate Zebra’s Z-Band wristbands. The HC100 automatically detects the wristband specifications, calibrating and printing without further configuration by the operator. A wide variety of options ensures that you’ll find a Z-Band wristband that’s perfect for each specific application, in either adhesive or clip closure formats.

The HC100 housing is compact, with a small footprint that accommodates any workspace. Its housing also resists most hospital cleaners and disinfectants.

802.11b/g wireless technology makes the newly enhanced HC100 wristband printer exceptionally easy to integrate into existing networks. Most linear and two-dimensional barcode symbologies are supported and the HC100 features XML-enabled printing as well.

Of course, the newly enhanced HC100 wristband printer and Z-Band wristband cartridges are still competitively priced, making the system as affordable to deploy as it is easy to use.
